Understanding the Three Warranty Packages from GAF®

Rectifying these issues on your own can be expensive, which is why you need to understand the warranty options available to you before you make a purchase. GAF Shingle & Accessory Warranty
Also known as Standard, this basic warranty is available on any roof installation in your home. It has a 100% coverage period for material defects and labor installation costs for up to 10 years. Anyone can install the products under this warranty, so there is no workmanship coverage.
GAF Weather Stopper System Plus Limited Warranty
This package is only available through a GAF certified installer. Also known as the Better warranty, System Plus covers material defects for up to 50 years, and up to 20 years on 3-Tab shingles. It also covers all the installation labor costs for the lifetime of the roof.
With this package, we can offer 100% workmanship coverage for up to two years. This also covers the misapplication of certain flashings for that same period and the tear-off costs for material defects.
GAF Golden Pledge Limited Warranty
This is GAF’s Best warranty, and it’s only available through a GAF Master Elite Roofing Contractor. It covers 100% of material defects for up to 50 years and up to 20 years on 3-Tab shingles. Golden Pledge also covers 100% of installation labor costs for the lifetime of the roof while 3-Tab shingles come with 25-30 years for labor costs. For workmanship and misapplication of flashings, you can expect up to 25 years coverage from GAF. Tear-off and disposal costs also fall under this package. Topping this warranty is an exclusive 40-point factory inspection, which aims to boost problem prevention efforts.
