Part 2: A 3-Step Guide to Hiring a Great Roofing Contractor – The Right Reputation
A roofing project can be a costly undertaking. Whether you are getting a new roof or about to undergo an extensive repair, you need an experienced roofer with your best interest at heart to do the job. However, you can’t just hire the first company that offers you a good deal, nor should you hire one just because it is licensed.
If you’ve read the previous post, you understand why a roofer needs the right credentials. However, there is more to hiring a roofer than most people think. He can have all the licenses and permits required to operate in your area, but may still be regarded as unreliable or unprofessional by past customers. Licenses and permits are mandatory and must be provided without question, but don’t settle for subpar service when you can find service that is exceptional yet still competitive.
If you want the best results, you have to do some research. Here’s what you can do.
See What Customers are Saying
A stellar reputation is something that many businesses strive for, but not all can achieve. To find these businesses, look for an excellent track record. Ask for references, talk to their previous customers and look at online reviews, while keeping in mind the following questions:
• Are there any complaints from customers?
• How long have they been in the business?
• Do they provide excellent customer service?
• Are they known for superior workmanship?
• How well do they stick to the schedule?
• Do they use quality materials?
• How accurate are their estimates?
• How is service after the sale?
